Fingerprint Friday

There is a song by Steven Curtis Chapman that says:
I can see the fingerprints of God
When I look at you
I can see the fingerprints of God
And I know its true
You're a masterpiece
That all creation quietly applauds
And you're covered with the fingerprints of God
So look around you and see where YOU can see God's fingerprints. Is it in nature? Kids? Animals? Where do you see them?
This is a typical night at our house. Matthew and Scott both sleeping on the couch. God's fingerprints are all over both of them. I am so blessed to have a wonderful husband who is very compassionate, caring and supportive. We started dating when we were still in high school (it was 15 years yesterday). We talked about everything and continue to talk about everything. Some nights I keep him up at night just so that I can talk (I mean we can talk). During our infertility struggles and the heartache each month of not conceiving Scott was always there to hold my hand and most often we cried together. There were also nights that he just held me while I cried. Even during our adoption journey there were days that I struggled and he was always there right beside me. We were both so excited the day we learned that we had been selected to be parents. When we got the call the day Adie was in labor, I couldn't get Scott to drive fast enough to the hospital. It was an honor to be able to watch our son Matthew be born into the world. Matthew has brought us closer. Matthew has brought us so much joy and happiness. We can't imagine our life without him. We are so greatful for the difficult decision that Matthew's birthparents made and that they chose us to raise Matthew. We are blessed to have Matthew's birthparents and their families in our lives.
