Playing in the Snow

Matthew and I played outside in the snow yesterday.
We had lots of fun!
We even shoveled the sidewalk.
The caretaker is suppose to shovel but I can't just walk on it and leave it so Matthew and I shoveled it.
It is kind of strange not having to take care of things.

I had fun taking pictures too! Seems like its been awhile.
Not sure why such a sober face.
This is what I got when I told him to smile!
Starting to get cold but he didn't want to go in.
He was having to much fun playing with his tractor in the snow!
He thought the tracks that it was leaving was pretty cool.
It took a lot of convincing but I finally got my cold baby inside.

Big Boy Bed

On Friday night, we decided to turn the crib into a big boy bed:
Matthew loves it!
Trying out and playing in his bed:
He was pretty excited:
On Saturday morning, I heard him wake up but I stayed in bed to see what he would do.
He stayed in bed for 45 minutes talking and singing to himself until I went in there with the camera of course.
Sorry this top picture is blurry.
The bright light of the flash!
Getting out of bed:
Now when he wakes up, he stands up like he is still in the crib and cries or hollers for mommy or daddy.
He is doing awesome in his bed!!!!

Last Time Sleeping in his Crib.....

Here is a picture of Matthew taking his last nap in his crib.....

It's kinda sad that he is growing up so fast but we love this new stage of his life.
He is talking more and wants to be do independent!
We are loving every minute!

More to Come.....

Did you know that I have used up all my free space for pictures on my blog already?  Don't worry, you can purchase more space.  I did that but Google said that it could take up to 24 hours to update my account.  I have some fun pictures coming but I have to wait until my account is updated.

Here is what has been happening this past week or fun facts:
~Matthew's rash is looking better FINALLY (Thanks Grandma G for the advice!!).  He does have an appointment with a different dermatologist tomorrow.
~Matthew had fun riding on the forklift with Daddy at Daddy's work on Friday.
~Matthew had fun playing with some cousins on Friday also.
~Matthew had fun yesterday being outside with Daddy and Papa.  He had a ride on the tractor!
~Matthew also has a big boy bed now (and we are starting to work really hard on a regular bedtime routine).  Pictures will be coming!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
~Matthew loves popcorn!
~Matthew loves playing with his "Cars" rug that we got for his birthday.
~Matthew loves lasagna!  He had 2 pieces tonight for supper!
~He loves anything venison!  He was scared of Scott's deer though!  He did touch the antlers after he seen Emma touching it.
~He eats the center out of the bread or bun first!
~Daddy gets to go to school with us tomorrow for the first time!!!  Matthew and I are really excited to show Daddy what we do at school!

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Hope everyone has a great week!

Scott was Hunting

Scott was hunting this past weekend!
I'm sure you guessed that from his picture he drew for Matthew.
He had big dreams and his big dreams were bigger than he thought.
He got a 10 point buck that was 190 pounds dressed weight.

I have a few more pictures but I can't get them to upload!

Guess What Scott is Doing?

This morning before Scott left, he told me he had left a picture on the chalkboard for Matthew telling him what he was doing today:
I didn't realize Scott was such an artist.
As you can see, Scott has big dreams!  Hahaha!

Watching TV

Matthew loves to sit in his rocking chair and watch TV. Last night, he was sitting there watching so intently and it was so cute!

He had to see what I was doing and started being silly!

Or maybe he was showing off his pearly whites!!

First Visit to the Dentist

This past week, Scott and I had our dental check-ups.  When I was there on Wednesday, the dentist suggested that he also should see Matthew.  I told him that I had planned on bring Matthew in on Thursday to observe Scott.  He said that he would take a look at Matthew too if Matthew would allow it.
Here is how it went:

Waiting for the dentist:
Opening up for the dentist:
Dentist taking a look:
Waiting to get his teeth polished:
Showing mommy how wide he can open:
Wearing the hygienist's special sunglasses to block the bright light:

The hygienist using her "magic" toothbrush:
One tooth done and that was all he was going to let her do:
We all had great check-ups and none of us had cavities!
Matthew even got his picture taken and put up on the "No Cavity Club" board for everyone to see.

PS Do you see the desk in the background of a few of the pictures?
That was one of the last commercial cabinet jobs that I designed before Matthew was born.

Our Little Pumpkin

Here is our cute little pumpkin:
who ended up throwing up a couple times on Halloween.
He has had his flu shot and he showed no other signs of the flu.
He took a 3 hour nap and woke up feeling better.

Playing in the Basket

Can you see his smile?
I finally got a picture of him smiling.
He loves playing in the laundry basket.
He also loves helping with laundry.
Well actually he loves putting the money in the machine slots.  Now that we live in an apartment we have to pay to do our laundry and it sucks.  But we make it a math lesson and count the quarters as Matthew puts them it so it's not all bad.

First Snow of 2010

We got our first snowfall on October 27, 2010.
I was not prepared for it and Matthew was not happy with me.
I didn't have snow boots for Matthew and when I put on his winter coat, yep, you guessed it, it was to small but I had the snow pants!
So all Matthew got to do was put his hand in the snow outside of our patio door!
We are almost ready now!  All he needs is boots!
The snow melted rather quickly!

Pumpkin Carving

One day last week, we carved pumpkins!
We made a mess but we had fun so I guess that is all that matters!

Pulling out the pumpkin guts!
~He had both arms in there~
And we had one messy boy!
Real concentration!
He was taking seeds out and putting seeds back in!
I love this picture!
He always has to see what daddy is doing!

Watching really hard so he can remember for next year!
He doesn't give me many smiles anymore!
I think that he is sick of me taking his picture!
I can't imagine why??
Once the pumpkin was carved, he was kinda of scared of it!
He is doing a great job of learning his shapes!
Look at all the pumpkin on his face!
He really gets into his work!
Our two pumpkins!!!
I didn't get any glowing pictures of the pumpkins this year!
I guess that I have been kind of bad at taking pictures lately.
I'm hoping by not taking so many that Matthew will start to smile in pictures again for me!  Hahaha!
