Happy Shower Taking Boy

No words to expleain just how cute he is!

Happy Naked Baby

This crazy boys loves to run around in just his diaper.  It makes him feel free I guess.
He also had a piece of a 2x4 that he brought upstairs after borrowing it from Daddy's pile downstairs.

If you look really hard you can see his 5th tooth coming in. (Bottom Left)

Just some Pictures

Isn't this the cutest little truck you ever seen?  Matthew is actually suppose to sit in the back of the truck for a chair.  My sister is so talented.  She crocheted this adorable truck.  It is black to match Daddy's truck too!

Yes and it is sitting on the race track mat.

I catch him in the process of making a face at me.  He has on some new jammies he got for Christmas on.  They have a cute little firetruck on the front.
(Grandma G-I always think of you and your brother whenever I find or see anything with a firetruck on it.)

He is too cute!

Christmas Celebrations

Christmas celebrations this week started on Wednesday for us.  I don't have any pictures from Wednesday because I forgot my camera (can you believe that-me without a camera).

Thursday we went to the Christmas Eve service at church.
(sorry the picture is blurry-when I handed off my camera, I forgot I had put it on manual focus)

After church we went to Scott's sister's house in Pequot Lakes.
Uncle Kyle picking on Matthew.  Kyle put a hair clip in Matthew's hair and it was so cute how Matthew tried several times to look up and try and see it.

We had our traditional Oyster stew and appetizers.
Matthew was showing off after eating in Emma's rocking chair.  He almost gave me a heart attack.  He was standing it in and leaning back and then smiling about it.

Then we opened presents.
Matthew made out like a bandit at all Christmas get togethers.

He sure has fun opening presents.

He had to try on his new shirt right away.  He got some cute Nike shoes.

Showing off another summer shirt.

And of course enjoying the box more than the present!

Then Christmas morning, Daddy helped him open presents.

This fleece jacket was made and given to him from our neighbor.

Opening more.

Even the cat had to investigate!

Just tearing the wrapping paper.

Opening his Tonka Chuck and Friends Fire Station.

Taking a quick break after opening the legos. (These were also a gift from the neighbor).

Looking at his Tonka Chuck and Friends Semi Truck.

He just wanted to play with his cars and trucks and not open any more.

Now he is happy.  He got his cars back.

After we opened presents on Friday morning, we went to Scott's aunt's house for lunch and some visiting.  Then we went to my mom's house for dinner and some more present opening.

Do you see the black and blue truck that Matthew is sitting on the above and below pictures?
It is a truck chair that my sister crocheted.  Her husband helped cut the foam for the inside.
Did you notice that is black?
She made it so that it matched Daddy's truck.

His last present was a foam race track mat.  He has had fun with it all day today.

We had a wonderful Christmas.
Matthew was so worn out that he slept until 8:30 this morning and then took a 3 1/2 hour nap.  Mommy took a nap today too.  Matthew and I are both sick with a cold going on a week now.
How was your Christmas?

Sick Baby Oops I mean Toddler

Sunday after Matthew's nap, he had this nasty cough so Sunday night we put the humidifer in his room.  Monday he woke up this a terrible cold.  Every time he sneezed it was bad!  One had to run with a kleenex.  He was miserable yesterday and didn't know what he wanted.  He would cry because he wanted up and then cry because he wanted down.  He did end up snuggling during some parts of the day.  Sometimes he just wanted to sit under his blanket on the couch by himself.

He still smiled for me when I got the camera to take a picture of him snuggled under his blanket.
Finally about 7:30 p.m. he wanted up.  He snuggled up in arms and fell asleep.  He slept good last night.  He only coughed a couple times so hopefully he will wake up feeling better today.

One Nap or Two

Matthew is to the stage where we are deciding whether to give him one nap or two naps a day.  Some days he really needs that 2nd nap but other days he fights the whole time.  I try to push the first nap a little but that don't usually work.  The other day he only had one nap in the morning and was so tired that he was sleeping before 7 pm.  I tried everything to keep him awake.  I was a little naughty and let him sleep on me and we snuggled up on the couch and he slept until about 9:30 when Scott got home.  He talked to Scott for a few minutes and went back to sleep.  He slept until 7 the next morning.

Today he is starting to get a cold (so we think).  Maybe it is from teething but I don't think so.  He has a bad cough so we will put the humidifer in his room for a few days to see if that helps.  Hopefully he wouldn't be sick for Christmas.  We have a very busy week.  It all started today.  We had the Christmas program for our Sunday School kids.  I am a Sunday School teacher for the 3rd grade.  3rd grade is a special year at our church, the 3rd grade students receive their Bibles.  They have an important part of the program because they read The Birth Story of Jesus from Luke 2 from their Bibles.  I am so very proud of the wonderful  job that they did.

Monday we need to go grocery shopping.
Tuesday our niece has a program at her preschool.
Some time between Monday and Wednesday I have to cook all the food that we need for all the parties.
Wednesday we have a Christmas party.
Thursday is Christmas Eve and another party.
Friday is Christmas and we have two Christmas parties.
Saturday we will be able to relax and hopefully sleep in.

Blogging Friends

Reading other blogs inspires me to be a better person.  I have also learned a lot from some of the blogs that I follow.  One blog in particular, I have learned more about my camera and some photo editing.  That blog currently has an amazing giveaway going on until Sunday, December 20th.  MckMama has an awesome blog and wonderful pictures.  She loves a photo software called Lightroom by Adobe and that is her giveaway.  Go click here to go to her blog to have a chance to win.

15 Month Check Up

Sorry the updates have been slow coming the last couple of weeks.  I am back to work for a short time to train a new person.

Last Friday, Matthew had his 15 month well child check up and had to get a few shots.
He weighs 21 lbs 6 oz and is 29 1/2" tall.  He is only in the 10th percentile for both weight and height.

The doctor, however, was impressed at how many words Matthew knows and says.  The doctor said that at 15 months they expect a child to know as least 2 to 5 words.  He asked us how many words Matthew knew and for some reason we always lose count.  We told he we thought between 20 and 30 words.  The doctor says that he is advanced for his age.  So on Friday night we decided to start writing the words down that he was saying.  We are up to 28 words right now.  He is starting to repeat words too!

He is a smarty pants and he know it.

He loves hamming it up!

Dinner with Sebastian

Tonight we had dinner with Sebastian (Matthew's birthfather) and his family.  We had lots of fun.
I can't believe how our relationship has developed and how they were meant to be a part of our family.

There's something about the fish tank that Matthew just loves.  He loves to look at the fish.

Dinner with Adie

Last night we had dinner with Adie (Matthew's birthmom) and her family.  After dinner, we were all sitting around the dinner table talking except Matthew who was on the move.  After a few minutes I heard him just a jabbering about something.  I found him and Adie looking at the fish tank and he must have been telling her all about the fish.

We had lots of fun!
I just love how our relationship with Matthew's birthparents has developed.

Another Happy Moment in the Life of Matthew

Monday morning started out like any other day.
Matthew started pulling on his jammies and diaper like something was wrong.  I unsnapped his jammies to try and figure out what was wrong.  Yay nothing was wrong.  He just wanted his jammies OFF!
He was the happiest child after that!
Wiggling around, running and squealing with delight!

Falling on the floor and rolling around with his jammies!

Just being completely silly!

He was squealing but of course I got the picture with the eyes closed.

What can I say?
Isn't he just the cutest thing ever?!!!

Sorry this one is not centered but he was moving around wildly.

He wasn't so happy when I made him get dressed but he was cold so I had to!

Museum Visit

Last Friday, Matthew and I went to St Cloud with the family to visit the Stearns County Musuem to see Sue the T-Rex.

"At 42 feet long and 12 feet high at the hips , Sue is the largest, most complete, and best-preserved Tyrannosaurus rex ever discovered, and a dramatic, life-sized skeleton cast is the centerpiece of this exciting exhibition." (from Stearns County Museum site)

Our niece Emma was hilarious!
She asked if there were still boggers in the dinosaur.
We all had a great laugh!
Matthew with Great Aunt Karyl.

Matthew with his Papa and Gram.

Aunt K (Kyra) and Adam.

Uncle Kyle and Jessica.

After the museum, we went to the Old Country Buffet.
Matthew ate a lot.  I also gave him a piece of Chocolate Cheesecake.
WoW!
He was a mess!
He was so messy that he didn't have a clean spot on him to carry him.
Good thing I had extra clothes with.
After dinner, Matthew, Emma and I went in a ride in the glass elevator!
You should have heard the squeals coming from those two especially because they could be Papa and Gram and Kyra and Karyl.
