1st Stay in a Motel

The weekend before we moved, we went to our niece's baptism in New Richland, Minnesota.  It is about a 4 hour drive from us so we decided to stay in a motel the night before the baptism.
It was Matthew's first time staying at a motel.
The motel, Crossings by Grandstay, was a nice motel.
When we arrived, Matthew immediately noticed the mints by the pillows.
He was very upset that we won't let him have the hard candies.
He sure had fun playing with them though.
After he got his swimsuit on, he laid on the bed to watch TV (still holding his mints) while we changed.
Matthew and Scott's first venture into the pool.
Not so sure if he liked it yet.
Matthew and I then hung out a bit while Scott took pictures.
By now, he thought the water was great! He kicked and splashed happily!
(I think we had just got a face full of splashing or kicking!)
Then I started throwing him up and catching him.
He thought that was fun!
I think it was the bigger splashing that got him.
Then relaxing in the hot tub for a few minutes.
A quick family picture before we headed back to our room to go to bed.
It was a interesting night sleep!
Since our pack and play was stored away already, we decided to have Matthew just sleep with us.
Let's just say that it was a good thing that we had 2 beds in our room.
We ended up putting pillows all around Matthew and letting him have his own bed.
He wanted to sleep right next to the headboard and kick it all night.
He must have scared me 5 times that night with kicking the headboard.
Needless to say, I didn't get much sleep but he slept great.

It sounds like quite an adventure!!!
Swimming looks like it was really fun!!! At least he was happy to swim and not scared..
