Graduation

It was awesome to watch graduation last night as both of Matthew's birthparents received their diplomas.
Sebastian
Adie
During graduation, they presented roses to their parents.
Adie also gave one to Matthew.
Giving Sebastian a kiss after he presented his rose to his mom.
His rose from Adie kept him entertained for a little bit.
Smelling his rose.
Then it became his sword and the stem broke in several places.
Shortly after the stems were broken, they began to fly around (even getting the people behind us).
Adie and Sebastian were even nice enough to stand by each other so we could get a picture of them with Matthew.
Matthew loved playing with their tassles.
Adie and Matthew
He sure was giving out the kisses last night!
We are so proud of Adie!
We love you Adie!
Matthew and Sebastian
We are also so very proud of Sebastian!
We love you Bash!
It was a fun night!
Open adoption is amazing!
We are so glad to have both of these wonderful people and their families in our lives.

Chewing Gum

Last night at graduation, we were trying everything to keep Matthew somewhat quiet.

We even tried gum!

He loved it but then it got to the point where he just wanted to play with it.

Fingerprint Friday

There is a song by Steven Curtis Chapman that says:
I can see the fingerprints of God
When I look at you
I can see the fingerprints of God
And I know its true
You're a masterpiece
That all creation quietly applauds
And you're covered with the fingerprints of God
So look around you and see where YOU can see God's fingerprints. Is it in nature? Kids? Animals? Where do you see them?

Every time that I look at Matthew I am reminded of how blessed that we are and how much he has changed our lives.
We are very excited to celebrate tonight the graduation of two very important people who helped change  our lives with this wonderful blessing of our son, Matthew.
Congratulations Adie and Sebastian on your high school graduation!
We can't wait to see you tonight!

The Beach

We spent a few hours at the beach today with Aunt K, Emma and Levi.
We had lots of fun!
Here are a few pictures:
Look at the drool!
Emma
Matthew loves playing with sticks!
He found this one on the beach!
Levi!
Can you believe he is 5 weeks already?
Having a little snack and warmimg up a bit!
You will probably see lots of beach pictures this summer!

Treats

The grandkids are spoiled just a little bit!
Every time Matthew goes to Grammie and Papa's house and is good, he get a treat out of Grammie's treasure chest!
Matthew loves to dig in and find yummy treats!
Papa keeps it filled with a variety of snacks!
You don't think they spoil their grandkids do you?

Always Helping Daddy

Helping Daddy put together a cabinet so I can finish unpacking!
This picture just cracks me up so I had to share with all of you!
Looking at Daddy to get more information.
Then he had to throw in a little temper tantrum!
Just didn't want you to think that it never happens around our house because as you can see it does!
(Look Grandma!  I let him get dirty today! Hahaha!)
My two cuties!
Can you believe that in about 3 1/2 months Matthew is going to be 2?
Where has the time gone?

Monday's Visitors

Our Monday while Emma was in school, Kyra and Levi came to visit.
Isn't he getting so big?
He is already 4 weeks old!
Click HERE to see newborn pictures.
Then he gave his auntie a BIG smile!
He is a happy boy!
After Emma was out of school we went to the park to play for a little bit!
Look at Emma's crazy hair!
Matthew was driving!
He loves his Emma!
Matthew and Emma always play so good together!

Bathtime Fun

After our trip to the park it was BATHTIME/SHOWER TIME.
Matthew loves taking baths and showers too!
He's even been known to fall asleep in the shower.  Take a peek right HERE!

Park

Sunday after naps and dinner, we enjoyed the park for awhile.
Doesn't he look so big on this swing?
He thinks he is hot stuff in this swing instead of the baby swing.
(but of course he wouldn't look at me)
Matthew and Daddy riding the dinosaur!
Matthew giving the dinosaur a little sand treat!
(He seem another kid to the same thing about 5 minutes before! Yep, he is in the repeating everything stage!)
Mommy helping Matthew with the scoop!
Like I said, he repeats everything.
(He watched a child go up this and decided he should too!)
Guess he doesn't want to hear it!
Then he wanted to try the chain ladder!
He's a brave kid and has no fear whatsoever!!!!!
We sure had a fun time at the park!
We are loving this weather!

Dinner with Adie

On Saturday evening, we took Adie out for dinner to celebrate birthmother's day!
Yes it was a week late but she had prom on birthmother's day!

Saturday

Yesterday, we went to Papa and Grammie's house so Scott could cut some trees out of the trails (he gets antsy at the apartment with no yard work).

Papa spents lots of time pushing Matthew in this swing on Wednesdays or anytime that he is there.

And this my friends, is how our spoiled baby takes a nap at Papa and Grammie's.
Right on his Papa's lap.  His Papa enjoyed every minute of it.  I think he sometimes joins Matthew.
See the brown pillow?
Matthew loves that pillow and he knows what it means when Papa has it in his lap.
This pair of geese are nesting in Papa and Grammie's swamp.
Aren't their babies so cute?

Playing Outside

At our apartment, there is a little bit of yard for Matthew to play in so on Friday since we didn't make it to the park we played outside until Scott got home.  After dinner Matthew and Scott did go to the park while I went scrapbooking for a few hours.

Matthew loves this bubble gun but can't figure out how to hold it.
I have tried over and over again.
I think that it is easier for him this way but of course the bubbles end up in his face.
He did lots of investigating!
He found some pine cones.
Took a little ride on his four wheeler.
More Investigating!
Caught me taking pictures of him when he wasn't looking.

PS Guess what I discovered last week?
Matthew is getting 2 molars in on the top.
This is the first time that he hasn't had a fever for a few days before teeth have come in.
