Fingerprint Friday

I can see the fingerprints of God
When I look at you
I can see the fingerprints of God
And I know it's true
You're a masterpiece
That all creation quietly applauds
And you're covered with the fingerprints of God
So look around you and see where YOU can see God's fingerprints. Is it in nature? Kids? Animals? Where do you see them?
I see God's fingerprints every day when I look at our son, Matthew. Matthew is definitely a masterpiece and a gift from God. The two young people in this first photo is Matthew's birthparents. I know that I have said it before but how can I not say it over and over again what a blessing it is to have these two wonderful people in our lives. They gave us the most precious and wonderful gift of life that God created. They made the difficult decision to make an adoption plan for their child. They made us the proudest parents of the happiest baby boy who is growing way to fast. How to do thank someone for such a gift. I know that they know how thankful we are but I just need to say it again. THANK YOU ADIE AND SEBASTIAN! Oct 12, 2008 at Matthew's Baptism L to R: Sebastian, Joanna, Matthew, Scott & Adie

God has a plan for each of our lives and it may not goes as we plan but he knows best for us so that is why we need to follow Him.
He also puts people in our lives when we need them.
In the photo below left to right: Adie, Joanna, Matthew, Scott, Kathy and Anissa. We have known Kathy since we became involved in our Sunday School program at church back in 1998. One Sunday in 2007, Kathy asked us if we had ever considered adoption. (Quick note: Not many people knew that we had struggled with infertility. Everyone had their susipions because we LOVE kids and we weren't having any babies and the fact that we had been married almost 10 years.) So here is the crazy thing, we were already in the process of adoption so we told her that. For some reason deep down in my heart I knew that God would use Kathy as His tool to make our dream of being parents come true. Here is the miracle-Kathy called me on July 16, 2007 she called and asked if she could give our names and phone number to Adie and Anissa (Anissa is Adie's mom) and of course I said YES!!!!!!!! (Read the rest of our adoption story on our November 8, 2008 blog post.) So God put Kathy in the right place at the right time. Thank you Kathy for helping us find our little masterpiece of God!!!)
We are blessed to have so many wonderful people in our lives.
Matthew has and always will bring us lots of happiness and joy.

Just one more thing, I found this verse on another blog and I thought that it pertained to this blog post.
"So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you have to endure many trials for a little while. These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold…" (I Peter 1:6-7, NLT).

Your story is so touching - what a blessing. And the verse at the end is excellent - we are short-sighted if we do not try to see the big picture around what we are going through!

Beautiful story of how Matthew came to be a part of your family! Thank you for sharing!

(I did not get to a Fingerprint Friday post today, but wanted to come see what you posted today. You have commented on the two that I have done and I wanted to come check yours out. I look forward to checking back often. I LOVE adoption stories.)

That made me cry. Happy tears.

I hope you know that you are as big a blessing to them as they are to you. To take Matthew and give him a wonderful family, but still share moments like this with his birth parents - it's a blessing that goes both ways.

So beautiful!
