This is definitely how I have been feeling about this new house:
Most of you know that we purchased a house and planned to do a small remodel before we moved in.
Well that small remodel has become a HUGE remodel.
After removing sheetrock and insulation from the walls and ceiling, we discovered that there were small holes in the roof and it was leaking in several areas. When Scott almost fell through the roof, we knew we had to relace it. The house has a new roof (Thanks to the help of my wonderful father in law and brother in law)and Scott should be done shingling tomorrow. We are also removing siding and making the house rodent proof because mice have had the run of the place and several stud cavities had very little to no insulation and was very disgusting. All the studs and areas around the studs will be sprayed down with a heavy bleach solution. By the time we are done, we will almost have a new house. With the additional items added to this HUGE renovation project, our target date of moving in is way off but since we can't afford a rent payment on top of the new mortgage payment we will be moving into the garage. I have been busy priming/painting out the garage (with the help of my mother in law) which should be done on Friday and then we will rent a floor scrubber to clean the floors. After I get all the pictures downloaded to the computer and organized, I will start showing the progress of our home renovations. Stayed tuned! You will soon see why I am feeling like Matthew is looking!
