Matthew's New Invention

It's called a Steam Hogger. It cuts trees with a big knife and picks things up with its fork.

Helping Dad Hunt

Actually he just got to help Daddy after Daddy got the deer. Then he helped Papa drive it out of the woods on the 4wheeler.

Matthew this morning at breakfast said that sausage gives him a headache because he has abornation (this word he says means he has a wire in him that shocks him when he eats sausage and gives him a headache).

Not sure where that came from but wow what an imagination!

1st Day of Preschool

I know I got this post and the last post backwards but I just realized I forgot to post of his first day of preschool. He is doing great and is loving school. The first day he was going to start crying but the teacher distracted him and the second day he did great!

Birthday Boy

We had a big birthday celebration on Saturday for our Matthew who is now 4 years old. How can it be that he is already 4? We started the morning with breakfast at McDonalds, played a round of mini golf at Pirate's Cove and then had ice cream at DQ. After DQ, we went home and set up for his birthday party. It was a smaller crowd (58 people) than normal but I still had a hard time getting around to everyone to visit. He is one special little boy with lots of grandpas and grandmas. We love the openness of his adoption and enjoy spending time with both birth parents and their families.

Fun Night

Tonight we had a fun family night! We went to A & W for dinner (Matthew got a cute little frosty mug to use) and then played mini golf at Pirate's Cove. Matthew had a blast at mini golf but after we left he told me he was a little frightened of the pirates.

Saturday Night at Cajun Fest

Saturday night we went to Northern Lights Casino for Cajun Fest. We had a blast! We even got to meet Trapper Joe and Trigger Tommy from Swamp People on History channel. Then we finished off the night with fireworks in the rain.

Just a Baby

Scott found a baby garter snake that he left Matthew play. This mama was a bit freaked out. But here are some pictures for you to see.

Ice Cream Treat

Matthew enjoying an ice cream treat! He almost always wants to eat the bottom of the cone first.

Bubbly Swim

Today we changed it up a bit and added bubbles to the pool. While he played he sang his slippery fish song and the octopus going sliding through the water. He learned the song in ECFE last school year but was afraid to sing it at school because it scared him. He sings it all the time now.

Nap Time

He is so peaceful and quiet when he is sleeping.

Why it Rains

Matthews explains why it rains. He said it rains so water gets in ponds so ducks can lay eggs!

4th of July

Wow! It was a hot and humid day! But we had a awesome day!

Spider Drawing

Matthew is getting to be quite the artist. This is his spider. Look really close to the back on the right side.....Do you see the little tiny line? Matthew says, "that's the web shooter."

Slip N Slide

Matthew's been really bugging me about using his slip n slide for some time now. This morning when he asked and I said yes, he said, "That's Great!"

Playing in the Drawer

Yes I finally have drawers in the cabinets but no fronts yet. We keep forgetting to get screws. Plus sheet rocking last weekend was more important since I'll hopefully need an office. I have a second interview tomorrow for an awesome job. I'm really excited!
